3 Now these were the sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second, Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess; 2 the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; 3 the fifth, Shephatiah of Abital; the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife: 4 six were born to him in Hebron; and he reigned there seven years and six months. He reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem; 5 and these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel; 6 and Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, 7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. 9 All these were the sons of David, in addition to the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

3 These are David’s descendants who were born to him in Hebron: Amnon his firstborn by Ahinoam the Jezreelite, Daniel his second born by Abigail the Carmelite, 2 Absalom his third born by Maacah daughter of King Talmai of Geshur, Adonijah his fourth born by[a] Haggith, 3 Shephatiah his fifth born by Abital, and Ithream his sixth born by his wife Eglah. 4 These six were born to him in Hebron, where he reigned for seven years and six months.
He reigned 33 years in Jerusalem. 5 These four children[b] were born to David[c] by Bath-shua[d] daughter of Ammiel while he was living[e] in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon, 6 followed by nine more: Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, 7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet. 9 All these were David’s sons, besides children born to his mistresses. Tamar was their sister.
