(A)The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was evil in the sight of [a]Yahweh, so He put him to death.
(B)Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Perez and Zerah.
Judah had five sons in all.
The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
The sons of Zerah were [b]Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and [c]Dara;
five of them in all.
The [d]son of Carmi was [e](C)Achar, the troubler of Israel, who violated what was devoted to destruction.
The [f]son of Ethan was Azariah.
Now the sons of Hezron, who were born to him were Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.

The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three Bath-shu′a the Canaanitess bore to him. Now Er, Judah’s first-born, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and he slew him. His daughter-in-law Tamar also bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.

The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul. The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara, five in all. The sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the matter of the devoted thing; and Ethan’s son was Azari′ah.

The sons of Hezron, that were born to him: Jerah′meel, Ram, and Chelu′bai.
