The Sons of Kohath

12 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
13 (A)The sons of Amram were Aaron and Moses. And (B)Aaron was separated in order to sanctify him as most holy, he and his sons forever, (C)to offer offerings up in smoke before Yahweh, to minister to Him and to bless in His name forever.
14 But as for (D)Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.
15 The sons of Moses were Gershom and Eliezer.
16 The [a]son of Gershom was [b]Shebuel the chief.
17 The [c]son of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
18 The [d]son of Izhar was [e]Shelomith the chief.
19 The sons of Hebron were Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third and Jekameam the fourth.
20 The sons of Uzziel were Micah the first and Isshiah the second.

12 Kohath’s sons: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel—four.
13 Amram’s sons:(A) Aaron and Moses.

Aaron, along with his descendants,(B) was set apart forever to consecrate the most holy things, to burn incense in the presence of Yahweh,(C) to minister to Him, and to pronounce blessings in His name forever. 14 As for Moses the man of God,(D) his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.

15 Moses’ sons: Gershom and Eliezer.
16 Gershom’s sons: Shebuel was first.
17 Eliezer’s sons were Rehabiah, first; Eliezer did not have any other sons, but Rehabiah’s sons were very numerous.
18 Izhar’s sons: Shelomith was first.
19 Hebron’s sons: Jeriah was first, Amariah second, Jahaziel third, and Jekameam fourth.
20 Uzziel’s sons: Micah was first, and Isshiah second.
