28 At that time, when David saw that Yahweh had answered him on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he sacrificed there. 29 (A)Now the tabernacle of Yahweh, which Moses had made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering were in the high place at Gibeon at that time. 30 But David could not go before it to inquire of God, for he was terrified by the sword of the angel of Yahweh.
Preparation to Build Yahweh’s House
22 Then David said, “(B)This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

28 At that time, David offered sacrifices there when he saw that the Lord answered him at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. 29 The tabernacle of the Lord, which Moses made in the desert, and the altar of burnt offering were at the high place in Gibeon,(A) 30 but David could not go before it to inquire of God, because he was terrified of the sword of the Lord’s angel. 22 1 Then David said, “This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”(B)
