1 Chronicles 17:11-14

New International Version

¹¹When your days are over and you go to be with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. ¹²He is the one who will build^(A) a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever.^(B) ¹³I will be his father,^(C) and he will be my son.^(D) I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor. ¹⁴I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever; his throne^(E) will be established forever.^(F)’”

¹¹When your days are fulfilled that you must ^[a]go to be with your fathers, then I will set up one of your ^[b]descendants after you, who will be from your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. ¹²He shall build for Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. ¹³^(A)I will be his father and he shall be My son; and I will not take My favor away from him, ^(B)as I took it from him who was before you. ¹⁴But I will settle him in My house and in My kingdom forever, and his throne will be established forever.”’”
