⁶ so then let us not ^(A)sleep as ^[a](B)others do, but let us be alert and ^[b](C)sober.

⁸ But since ^(A)we are of the day, let us ^(B)be ^[a]sober, having put on the ^(C)breastplate of ^(D)faith and love, and as a ^(E)helmet, the ^(F)hope of salvation.

^17 (A)pray without ceasing;

¹⁴ Stand firm therefore, ^(A)having girded your loins with truth, and having ^(B)put on the breastplate of righteousness,

^18 [a]With all ^(A)prayer and petition ^[b](B)pray at all times ^(C)in the Spirit, and with this in view, ^[c](D)be on the alert with all ^(E)perseverance and ^(F)petition for all the saints,

¹³ Therefore, ^[a](A)prepare your minds for action, ^[b](B)keep sober in spirit, fix your ^(C)hope completely on the ^(D)grace ^[c]to be brought to you at ^(E)the revelation of Jesus Christ.
