^4 (A)who desires all men to be saved ^(B)and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

¹⁵ But ^[a]sanctify ^[b]the Lord God in your hearts, and always ^(A)be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the ^(B)hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; ^16 (C)having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.

² And ^(A)do not be conformed to this world, but ^(B)be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may ^(C)prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

¹¹ Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ^(A)‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked ^(B)turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For ^(C)why should you die, O house of Israel?’

^17 (A)For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and ^(A)remission of sins should be preached in His name ^(B)to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
