³ This is good and acceptable in the sight of ^(A)God our Savior, ^4 (B)who wants all people to be ^(C)saved and to ^(D)come to the ^[a]knowledge of the truth. ⁵ For there is ^(E)one God, and ^(F)one mediator also between God and mankind, the ^(G)Man Christ Jesus, ⁶ who ^(H)gave Himself as a ransom for all, the ^(I)testimony ^[b]given at ^[c](J)the proper time.

^9 [a]This was ^(A)the true Light ^[b]that, coming into the world, enlightens every person. ¹⁰ He was in the world, and ^(B)the world came into being through Him, and yet the world did not ^[c]know Him. ¹¹ He came to His ^[d]own, and His own people did not ^[e]accept Him. ¹² But ^[f]as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become ^(C)children of God, ^(D)to those who ^[g]believe in His name,

¹⁷ For God ^(A)did not send the Son into the world ^(B)to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. ^18 (C)The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of ^(D)the only Son of God. ¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that ^(E)the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for ^(F)their deeds were evil. ^20 (G)For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed. ²¹ But the one who ^(H)practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed ^[a]as having been performed in God.”

³ Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “^(A)Return to Me,” declares the Lord of armies, “^[a]that I may return to you,” says the Lord of armies.

⁷ “From the ^(A)days of your fathers you have turned away from My statutes and have not kept them. ^(B)Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of armies. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’

⁶ Jesus *said to him, “I am ^(A)the way, and ^(B)the truth, and ^(C)the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.

²⁰ Behold, I stand ^(A)at the door and ^(B)knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, ^(C)I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
