3 Si alguien enseña falsas doctrinas y se aparta de la sana enseñanza de nuestro Señor Jesucristo y de lo que enseña la verdadera religión, 4 es un orgulloso y un ignorante; es una persona que tiene el vicio de provocar discusiones que dan lugar a envidias, pleitos, ofensas, desconfianzas 5 y peleas entre quienes tienen la mente depravada y no conocen la verdad. Para ellas, el evangelio es un gran negocio.

3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

3 If anyone teaches otherwise(A) and does not agree to the sound instruction(B) of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 they are conceited(C) and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words(D) that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5 and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth(E) and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
