Ebyo byongera mpaka, mu kifo ky’okuyigiriza abantu ebya Katonda ebiri mu kukkiriza. 5 (E)Kye tugenderera mu kiragiro kino, kwe kwagala okuva mu mutima omulongoofu, n’omwoyo omulungi, n’okukkiriza okutaliimu bukuusa. 6 Ebyo abantu abamu babivaako ne badda mu mpaka ezitaliimu mugaso. 7 Beefuula bayigiriza b’amateeka ga Katonda, songa tebategeera bye boogera, wadde bye bakakasa. 8 (F)Tumanyi ng’amateeka malungi, omuntu bw’agakozesa mu ngeri entuufu. 9 (G)Tusaanye tutegeere nga Amateeka tegaateekerwawo batuukirivu, wabula gaateekerwawo bamenyi baago na bajeemu, aboonoonyi, n’abatatya Katonda, n’abatali batukuvu, n’abagwenyufu, abatta bakitaabwe ne bannyaabwe, era n’abatta abantu abalala, 10 (H)n’abenzi, n’abalya ebisiyaga, abagula n’abatunda abaddu, abalimba n’abalayirira obwereere, ne bonna abatakkiriziganya na njigiriza ntuufu, 11 (I)ng’Enjiri ey’ekitiibwa kya Katonda atenderezebwa, gye yankwasa bw’eri.

Mwebaza kubanga yalaba nga nsaanira, n’ankwasa omulimu gwe. 13 (K)Newaakubadde ng’edda namwogerangako bubi, ne mmuyigganya era ne mmuvuma, kyokka yansaasira, kubanga ebyo nabikolanga mu butamanya nga sinnaba kumukkiriza. 14 (L)Naye Mukama waffe yankwatirwa ekisa kingi n’ampa okukkiriza kungi, era n’okwagala kwe tufunira mu Kristo Yesu. 15 (M)Ekigambo kino kituufu, kisaanye okukkiriza, ekigamba nti Kristo Yesu yajja mu nsi okulokola aboonoonyi. Mu bo nze mwonoonyi asookera ddala. 16 (N)Katonda kyeyava ansaasira, Kristo Yesu alyoke ayoleseze mu nze, omwonoonyi asingira ddala okugumiikiriza kwe okutakoma, era mbeere ekyokulabirako eri abo abalimukkiriza ne bafuna obulamu obutaggwaawo. 17 (O)Kabaka ow’olubeerera, atafa era atalabika, Katonda omu yekka, agulumizibwenga, emirembe n’emirembe. Amiina.
18 (P)Mwana wange Timoseewo, nkukubiriza ojjukire ebigambo bya bannabbi bye baakwogerako edda, olyoke olwane olutalo n’obuzira, 19 (Q)ng’okukkiriza, n’omwoyo omulungi, bye byokulwanyisa byo. 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Correcting False Teaching
1 Paul, (A)an apostle of (B)Christ Jesus (C)according to the commandment of (D)God our Savior, and of (E)Christ Jesus, who is our (F)hope,
2 To (G)Timothy, (H)my true [a]son in the faith: (I)Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and (J)Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Just as I urged you [b]upon my departure for (K)Macedonia, to remain on at (L)Ephesus so that you would instruct certain people not to (M)teach strange doctrines, 4 nor to [c]pay attention to (N)myths and endless (O)genealogies, which give rise to useless (P)speculation rather than (Q)advance [d]the plan of God, which is by faith, so I urge you now. 5 But the goal of our [e](R)instruction is love (S)from a pure heart, from a (T)good conscience, and from a sincere (U)faith. 6 Some people have strayed from these things and have turned aside to (V)fruitless discussion, 7 (W)wanting to be (X)teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.
8 But we know that (Y)the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 realizing the fact that (Z)law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and (AA)rebellious, for the (AB)ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and (AC)worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for the [f](AD)sexually immoral, (AE)homosexuals, [g](AF)slave traders, (AG)liars, (AH)perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to (AI)sound teaching, 11 according to (AJ)the glorious gospel of (AK)the blessed God, with which I have been (AL)entrusted.
Paul’s Testimony
12 I thank (AM)Christ Jesus our Lord, who has (AN)strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, (AO)putting me into service, 13 even though I was previously a blasphemer and a (AP)persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was (AQ)shown mercy because (AR)I acted ignorantly in unbelief; 14 and the (AS)grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the (AT)faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. 15 (AU)It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that (AV)Christ Jesus came into the world to (AW)save sinners, among whom (AX)I am foremost. 16 Yet for this reason I (AY)found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might (AZ)demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those [h]who would believe in Him for eternal life. 17 Now to the (BA)King [i]eternal, (BB)immortal, (BC)invisible, the (BD)only God, (BE)be honor and glory [j]forever and ever.
