²⁰ Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.

² Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. ^(A)Convince, ^(B)rebuke, ^(C)exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

¹¹ So all Israel shall hear and ^(A)fear, and not again do such wickedness as this among you.

¹³ This testimony is true. ^(A)Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,

²⁰ of whom are ^(A)Hymenaeus and ^(B)Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to ^(C)blaspheme.

^11 (A)So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.

⁵ Then Ananias, hearing these words, ^(A)fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.

No Return to the Law

^11 (A)Now when ^[a]Peter had come to Antioch, I ^[b]withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; ¹² for before certain men came from James, ^(B)he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing ^[c]those who were of the circumcision. ¹³ And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

¹⁴ But when I saw that they were not straightforward about ^(C)the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter ^(D)before them all, ^(E)“If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, ^[d]why do you compel Gentiles to live as ^[e]Jews?

¹⁷ This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and ^(A)fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

^20 (A)And those who remain shall hear and fear, and hereafter they shall not again commit such evil among you.
