^12 (A)Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers ^(B)an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

⁷ Show yourself in all respects to be ^(A)a model of good works, and in your teaching ^(B)show integrity, ^(C)dignity,

²² So ^(A)flee ^(B)youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with ^(C)those who call on the Lord ^(D)from a pure heart.

¹⁵ Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,^[a] a worker ^(A)who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

³ not ^(A)domineering over those in your charge, but ^(B)being examples to the flock.

⁵ For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith ^(A)with virtue,^[a] and virtue ^(B)with knowledge, ⁶ and knowledge with self-control, and self-control ^(C)with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, ⁷ and godliness ^(D)with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection ^(E)with love. ⁸ For if these qualities^[b] are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or ^(F)unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

11 ^(A)Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

⁶ And ^(A)you became imitators of us ^(B)and of the Lord, for ^(C)you received the word in much affliction, ^(D)with the ^(E)joy of the Holy Spirit,

¹⁵ Declare these things; exhort and ^(A)rebuke with all authority. ^(B)Let no one disregard you.
