⁴ who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.^(A)

³² For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.^(A)

⁹ The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you,^[a] not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.^(A)

²³ Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live?^(A)

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all,^[a](A)

¹⁵ that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.^[a](A)

¹⁶ “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.^(B)

¹⁷ “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through him.^(C)

¹¹ Say to them: As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked but that the wicked turn from their ways and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?^(A)

²⁵ correcting opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know the truth^(A)

¹⁰ For to this end we toil and suffer reproach,^[a] because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.^(A)

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him.^{(A) 13} For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”^(B)

¹⁴ But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed?^[a] And how are they to believe^[b] in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? ¹⁵ And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”^(C)
