¹³ For Adam was formed first, then Eve,^(A)

¹⁸ Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”^(A)

⁸ Indeed, man was not made from woman but woman from man.^{(A) 9} Neither was man created for the sake of woman but woman for the sake of man.^(B)

²² And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

⁷ then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground^[a] and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.^(A)
