²⁷ I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the brothers and sisters.^(A)

¹⁶ And when this letter has been read among you, have it read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and see that you read also the letter from Laodicea.

²¹ In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels, I warn you to keep these instructions without prejudice, doing nothing on the basis of partiality.^(A)

⁷ Give these commands as well, so that they may be above reproach.^(A)

Warning against False Teachers

³ I urge you, as I did when I was on my way to Macedonia, to remain in Ephesus so that you may instruct certain people not to teach different teachings^(A)
