Prayer for the Church

¹¹ Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, ^(A)direct our way to you.

Longing to See Them

¹⁷ But we, brethren, having been taken away from you for a short time ^(A)in presence, not in heart, endeavored more eagerly to see your face with great desire. ¹⁸ Therefore we wanted to come to you—even I, Paul, time and again—but ^(B)Satan hindered us.

⁹ For we are glad ^(A)when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray, ^(B)that you may be made complete.

²⁴ Not ^(A)that we ^[a]have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for ^(B)by faith you stand.

¹⁰ making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you. ¹¹ For I long to see you, that ^(A)I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established— ¹² that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by ^(B)the mutual faith both of you and me.

¹¹ Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would ^(A)count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and ^(B)the work of faith with power,

^12 (A)Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always ^(B)laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand ^(C)perfect and ^[a]complete in all the will of God.

²⁵ And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith,
