¹⁵ For this we declare to you ^(A)by a word from the Lord,^[a] that ^(B)we who are alive, who are left until ^(C)the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

⁵¹ Behold! I tell you a mystery. ^(A)We shall not all sleep, ^(B)but we shall all be changed, ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For ^(C)the trumpet will sound, and ^(D)the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. ⁵³ For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and ^(E)this mortal body must put on immortality.

¹⁴ knowing that ^(A)he who raised the Lord Jesus ^(B)will raise us also with Jesus and ^(C)bring us with you into his presence.

¹⁹ For what is our hope or ^(A)joy or crown of boasting ^(B)before our Lord Jesus at his ^(C)coming? Is it not you?

¹⁷ for it was said to me ^(A)by the word of the Lord, ‘You shall neither eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by the way that you came.’” ¹⁸ And he said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house that he may eat bread and drink water.’” But he lied to him.

²⁵ He said, “Yes.” And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, ^(A)“What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or ^(B)tax? From their sons or from others?”

A Prophet Condemns Ben-hadad's Release

³⁵ And a certain man of ^(A)the sons of the prophets said to his fellow ^(B)at the command of the Lord, “Strike me, please.” But the man refused to strike him.
