⁴ but just as we have been approved by God ^(A)to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not ^(B)to please man, but to please God ^(C)who tests our hearts.

¹⁰ For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying ^(A)to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a ^(B)servant^[a] of Christ.

⁷ On the contrary, when they saw that I had been ^(A)entrusted with ^(B)the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised

²⁷ And ^(A)he who searches hearts knows what is ^(B)the mind of the Spirit, because^[a] the Spirit ^(C)intercedes for the saints ^(D)according to the will of God.

³ and ^(A)at the proper time manifested in his word^{[a] (B)}through the preaching ^(C)with which I have been entrusted ^(D)by the command of God our Savior;

¹⁴ By the Holy Spirit ^(A)who dwells within us, guard ^(B)the good deposit entrusted to you.

¹¹ in accordance with ^(A)the gospel of the glory of ^(B)the blessed God ^(C)with which I have been entrusted.

Christ Jesus Came to Save Sinners

¹² I thank him ^(D)who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, ^(E)appointing me to his service, ¹³ though formerly I was a blasphemer, ^(F)persecutor, and insolent opponent. But ^(G)I received mercy ^(H)because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,

⁶ not by the way of eye-service, as ^(A)people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

^19 (A)great in counsel and ^(B)mighty in deed, ^(C)whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of man, ^(D)rewarding each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.
