5 Alam nʼyo rin na hindi namin kayo dinaan sa matatamis na pananalita sa pangangaral namin at hindi rin kami nangaral para samantalahin kayo. Ang Dios mismo ang saksi namin. 6 Hindi namin hinangad ang papuri ninyo o ng sinuman, 7 kahit may karapatan kaming tumanggap nito bilang mga apostol ni Cristo. Sa halip, naging maaruga kami sa inyo tulad ng isang mapagkalingang ina sa mga anak niya.

5 You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed(A)—God is our witness.(B) 6 We were not looking for praise from people,(C) not from you or anyone else, even though as apostles(D) of Christ we could have asserted our authority.(E) 7 Instead, we were like young children[a] among you.
