25 (A)*Samuele morí e tutto *Israele si radunò e ne fece cordoglio; lo seppellirono nella sua proprietà a Rama. Allora *Davide partí, e scese verso il deserto di Paran.
2 A Maon c'era un uomo, che aveva i suoi beni a Carmel[a]; era molto ricco, aveva tremila pecore e mille capre, e si trovava a Carmel per la tosatura delle sue pecore.

25 Now Samuel died,(A) and all Israel assembled and mourned(B) for him; and they buried him at his home in Ramah.(C) Then David moved down into the Desert of Paran.[a]
2 A certain man in Maon,(D) who had property there at Carmel, was very wealthy.(E) He had a thousand goats and three thousand sheep, which he was shearing(F) in Carmel.
