25 Poi Samuele morì, e tutto Israele si radunò e lo pianse; lo seppellirono quindi nella sua casa a Ramah. Allora Davide si levò e scese al deserto di Paran.
2 A Maon c'era un uomo, che aveva le sue proprietà a Karmel, quest'uomo era molto ricco: aveva tremila pecore e mille capre, e si trovava a Karmel per tosare le sue pecore.

New International Version
David, Nabal and Abigail
25 Now Samuel died,(A) and all Israel assembled and mourned(B) for him; and they buried him at his home in Ramah.(C) Then David moved down into the Desert of Paran.[a]
2 A certain man in Maon,(D) who had property there at Carmel, was very wealthy.(E) He had a thousand goats and three thousand sheep, which he was shearing(F) in Carmel.
