1 Samuel 9:5-7
New International Version
5 When they reached the district of Zuph,(A) Saul said to the servant who was with him, “Come, let’s go back, or my father will stop thinking about the donkeys and start worrying(B) about us.”
6 But the servant replied, “Look, in this town there is a man of God;(C) he is highly respected, and everything(D) he says comes true. Let’s go there now. Perhaps he will tell us what way to take.”
7 Saul said to his servant, “If we go, what can we give the man? The food in our sacks is gone. We have no gift(E) to take to the man of God. What do we have?”
1 Samuel 9:5-7
New King James Version
5 When they had come to the land of (A)Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, “Come, let (B)us return, lest my father cease caring about the donkeys and become worried about us.”
6 And he said to him, “Look now, there is in this city (C)a man of God, and he is an honorable man; (D)all that he says surely comes to pass. So let us go there; perhaps he can show us the way that we should go.”
7 Then Saul said to his servant, “But look, if we go, (E)what shall we bring the man? For the bread in our vessels is all gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?”
