1 Samuel 4:3-5

New International Version

³When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked, “Why^(A) did the Lord bring defeat on us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark^(B) of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh,^(C) so that he may go with us^(D) and save us from the hand of our enemies.”

⁴So the people sent men to Shiloh, and they brought back the ark of the covenant of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim.^(E) And Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

⁵When the ark of the Lord’s covenant came into the camp, all Israel raised such a great shout^(F) that the ground shook.

³Cuando volvió el pueblo al campamento, los ancianos de Israel dijeron: ¿Por qué nos ha herido hoy Jehová delante de los filisteos? Traigamos a nosotros de Silo el arca del pacto de Jehová, para que viniendo entre nosotros nos salve de la mano de nuestros enemigos.

⁴Y envió el pueblo a Silo, y trajeron de allí el arca del pacto de Jehová de los ejércitos, que moraba entre los querubines; y los dos hijos de Elí, Ofní y Fineés, estaban allí con el arca del pacto de Dios.

⁵Aconteció que cuando el arca del pacto de Jehová llegó al campamento, todo Israel gritó con tan gran júbilo que la tierra tembló.
