14 Habíamos hecho una incursión al sur de los quereteos, de Judá y de Caleb, y hemos incendiado Siclag.
15 David le preguntó:
— ¿Puedes llevarme hasta esa banda?
El muchacho respondió:
— Si me juras por Dios que no me matarás ni me entregarás a mi amo, te llevaré hasta esa banda.
16 Él los llevó y los encontraron desperdigados por el campo, comiendo, bebiendo y celebrando el gran botín capturado en territorio filisteo y en Judá.

14 We raided the Negev of the Kerethites,(A) some territory belonging to Judah and the Negev of Caleb.(B) And we burned(C) Ziklag.”
15 David asked him, “Can you lead me down to this raiding party?”
He answered, “Swear to me before God that you will not kill me or hand me over to my master,(D) and I will take you down to them.”
16 He led David down, and there they were, scattered over the countryside, eating, drinking and reveling(E) because of the great amount of plunder(F) they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from Judah.
