Întoarcerea lui David la Ţiclag
30 Când a ajuns David cu oamenii lui a treia zi la Ţiclag, amaleciţii(A) năvăliseră în partea de miazăzi şi în Ţiclag. Ei nimiciseră şi arseseră Ţiclagul 2 după ce luaseră prinşi pe femei şi pe toţi cei ce se aflau acolo, mici şi mari. Nu omorâseră pe nimeni, dar luaseră totul şi plecaseră. 3 David şi oamenii lui au ajuns în cetate şi iată că era arsă; şi nevestele, fiii şi fiicele lor fuseseră luaţi prinşi.

David Destroys the Amalekites
30 David and his men reached Ziklag(A) on the third day. Now the Amalekites(B) had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned(C) it, 2 and had taken captive the women and everyone else in it, both young and old. They killed none of them, but carried them off as they went on their way.
3 When David and his men reached Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.(D)

30 And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
2 And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
3 So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
