1 Samuel 2:28-30
New American Standard Bible 1995
28 (A)Did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, to carry an ephod before Me; and did I not (B)give to the house of your father all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel? 29 Why do you (C)kick at My sacrifice and at My offering (D)which I have commanded in My (E)dwelling, and (F)honor your sons above Me, by making yourselves fat with the [a]choicest of every offering of My people Israel?’ 30 Therefore the Lord God of Israel declares, ‘(G)I did indeed say that your house and the house of your father should walk before Me forever’; but now the Lord declares, ‘Far be it from Me—for (H)those who honor Me I will honor, and those (I)who despise Me will be lightly esteemed.

1 Samuel 2:28-30
King James Version
28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
