“My heart exults in the Lord;

^(B)He brings down to ^[a]Sheol and raises up.
⁷ “^(C)The Lord makes poor and rich;
^(D)He brings low, He also exalts.
⁸ “^(E)He raises the poor from the dust,
^(F)He lifts the needy from the ash heap
^(G)To make them sit with nobles,
And inherit a seat of honor;
^(H)For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s,
And He set the world on them.
⁹ “^(I)He keeps the feet of His godly ones,
^(J)But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness;
^(K)For not by might shall a man prevail.
¹⁰ “^(L)Those who contend with the Lord will be shattered;
^(M)Against them He will thunder in the heavens,
^(N)The Lord will judge the ends of the earth;
^(O)And He will give strength to His king,
^(P)And will exalt the ^[b]horn of His anointed.”
