1 Samuel 10:6-10
New International Version
6 The Spirit(A) of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed(B) into a different person. 7 Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever(C) your hand(D) finds to do, for God is with(E) you.
8 “Go down ahead of me to Gilgal.(F) I will surely come down to you to sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, but you must wait seven(G) days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do.”
Saul Made King
9 As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed(H) Saul’s heart, and all these signs(I) were fulfilled(J) that day. 10 When he and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit(K) of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying.(L)
1 Samuel 19:20-24
New International Version
20 so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets(A) prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came on(B) Saul’s men, and they also prophesied.(C) 21 Saul was told about it, and he sent more men, and they prophesied too. Saul sent men a third time, and they also prophesied. 22 Finally, he himself left for Ramah and went to the great cistern at Seku. And he asked, “Where are Samuel and David?”
“Over in Naioth at Ramah,” they said.
23 So Saul went to Naioth at Ramah. But the Spirit of God came even on him, and he walked along prophesying(D) until he came to Naioth. 24 He stripped(E) off his garments, and he too prophesied in Samuel’s(F) presence. He lay naked all that day and all that night. This is why people say, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”(G)
