14 Saul’s uncle asked him and his servant, “Where did you go?” Saul[b] replied, “To look for the donkeys. But when we realized they were lost,[c] we went to Samuel.” 15 Saul’s uncle said, “Tell me what Samuel said to you.”[d]

“Looking for the donkeys,(C)” he said. “But when we saw they were not to be found, we went to Samuel.”
15 Saul’s uncle said, “Tell me what Samuel said to you.”
