²⁰ But as for ^(A)your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not be anxious about them, for they have been found. And ^[a]on whom ^(B)is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on you and on all your father’s house?”

⁵ and said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now ^(A)make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”

¹³ “Now therefore, ^(A)here is the king ^(B)whom you have chosen and whom you have desired. And take note, ^(C)the Lord has set a king over you.

³ Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. And Kish said to his son Saul, “Please take one of the servants with you, and arise, go and look for the donkeys.”

² Set your mind on things above, not on things on the ^(A)earth.

³ Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver:

¹⁵ However, if you do ^(A)not obey the voice of the Lord, but ^(B)rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then the hand of the Lord will be against you, as it was against your fathers.

²⁰ And about the time of her death ^(A)the women who stood by her said to her, “Do not fear, for you have borne a son.” But she did not answer, nor did she ^[a]regard it.
