¹³ Hurry and catch him before he goes up there to eat. The guests won’t begin eating until he arrives to bless the food.”

¹¹ Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted.

⁴ Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks.

³⁰ If I can thank God for the food and enjoy it, why should I be condemned for eating it?

²³ Several boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the Lord had blessed the bread and the people had eaten.

³⁰ As they sat down to eat,^[a] he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them.

⁴¹ Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. He also divided the fish for everyone to share.

²⁶ As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.”
