^19 (A)And he struck some of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they looked upon the ark of the Lord. He struck seventy men of them,^[a] and the people mourned because the Lord had struck the people with a great blow.

^20 (A)but they shall not go in to look on the holy things even for a moment, lest they die.”

⁷ And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and ^(A)God struck him down there because of his error, and he died there beside the ark of God.

¹⁵ And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, as the camp sets out, after that ^(A)the sons of Kohath shall come to carry these, ^(B)but they must not touch the holy things, lest they die. These are the things of the tent of meeting that the sons of Kohath are to carry.

²¹ And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to the Lord ^(A)to look and many of them perish.

¹⁷ For it is time for judgment ^(A)to begin at the household of God; and ^(B)if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who ^(C)do not obey the gospel of God?

¹⁸ Let no one ^(A)disqualify you, ^(B)insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, ^(C)going on in detail about visions,^{[a] (D)}puffed up without reason by ^(E)his sensuous mind,

⁹ And when they came to the threshing floor of ^(A)Chidon, Uzzah put out his hand to take hold of the ark, for the oxen stumbled. ¹⁰ And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and he struck him down ^(B)because he put out his hand to the ark, and ^(C)he died there before God.

²⁹ “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

⁴ This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting: ^(A)the most holy things. ⁵ When the camp is to set out, Aaron and his sons shall go in and take down ^(B)the veil of the screen and cover ^(C)the ark of the testimony with it.
