²⁷ It was for those in ^(A)Bethel, in Ramoth of the Negeb, in ^(B)Jattir,

⁴⁸ And in the hill country, Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,

⁸ together with all the villages around these cities as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the Negeb. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Simeon according to their clans.

²² The house of Joseph also went up against Bethel, ^(A)and the Lord was with them. ²³ And the house of Joseph scouted out Bethel. (^(B)Now the name of the city was formerly Luz.)
