³⁴ For as surely ^(A)as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, ^(B)who has restrained me from hurting you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, truly by morning there had not been left to Nabal so much as one male.”

²⁶ Now then, my lord, ^(A)as the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, because ^(B)the Lord has restrained you from bloodguilt and from ^(C)saving with your own hand, now then ^(D)let your enemies and those who seek to do evil to my lord be as Nabal.

¹⁸ Then Abigail made haste and took two hundred loaves and two skins of wine and five sheep already prepared and five seahs^[a] of parched grain and a hundred clusters of raisins and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on donkeys.

^11 (A)And the next day Saul put the people ^(B)in three companies. And they came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch and struck down the Ammonites until the heat of the day. And those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.

⁹ So Joshua came upon them suddenly, having marched up all night from Gilgal.

⁶ And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua ^(A)at the camp in Gilgal, saying, “Do not relax your hand from your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites who dwell in the hill country are gathered against us.”
