¹¹ See, my father, look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut^(A) off the corner of your robe but did not kill you. See that there is nothing in my hand to indicate that I am guilty^(B) of wrongdoing^(C) or rebellion. I have not wronged^(D) you, but you are hunting^(E) me down to take my life.^(F)

²⁰ Now do not let my blood^(A) fall to the ground far from the presence of the Lord. The king of Israel has come out to look for a flea^(B)—as one hunts a partridge in the mountains.^(C)”

²³ Find out about all the hiding places he uses and come back to me with definite information. Then I will go with you; if he is in the area, I will track^(A) him down among all the clans of Judah.”
