⁴ Once again David inquired^(A) of the Lord, and the Lord answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines^(B) into your hand.^(C)”

⁷ The Lord said to Gideon, “With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands.^(A) Let all the others go home.”^(B)

⁷ you are to rise up from ambush and take the city. The Lord your God will give it into your hand.^(A)

¹⁸ This is an easy^(A) thing in the eyes of the Lord; he will also deliver Moab into your hands.

¹⁹ so David inquired^(A) of the Lord, “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?”

The Lord answered him, “Go, for I will surely deliver the Philistines into your hands.”

⁶ He inquired^(A) of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams^(B) or Urim^(C) or prophets.^(D)

³⁹ Then Gideon said to God, “Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request.^(A) Allow me one more test with the fleece, but this time make the fleece dry and let the ground be covered with dew.”
