⁵ Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread,
And the hungry have ceased to hunger.
Even ^(A)the barren has borne seven,
And ^(B)she who has many children has become feeble.

^9 (A)He grants the ^[a]barren woman a home,
Like a joyful mother of children.

⁵³ He has ^(A)filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich He has sent away empty.

¹⁰ The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
^(A)But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.

54 “Sing, O ^(A)barren,
You who have not borne!
Break forth into singing, and cry aloud,
You who have not labored with child!
For more are the children of the desolate
Than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.
