²⁸ But when Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that Saul’s daughter Michal loved him,

⁹ I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not but are lying—I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.^(A)

²⁵ Then Saul said to David, “Blessed be you, my son David! You will do many things and will succeed in them.” So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.

²⁰ Now I know that you shall surely be king and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.^(A)

³ His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to prosper in his hands.^(A)

⁸ His brothers said to him, “Are you indeed to reign over us? Are you indeed to have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more because of his dreams and his words.^(A)

⁹ He had another dream and told it to his brothers, saying, “Look, I have had another dream: the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” ¹⁰ But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What kind of dream is this that you have had? Shall we indeed come, I and your mother and your brothers, and bow to the ground before you?”^{(B) 11} So his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.^(C)
