²⁸ When Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that his daughter Michal^(A) loved David,

²⁵ Then Saul said to David, “May you be blessed,^(A) David my son; you will do great things and surely triumph.”

So David went on his way, and Saul returned home.

²⁰ I know that you will surely be king^(A) and that the kingdom^(B) of Israel will be established in your hands.

³ When his master saw that the Lord was with him^(A) and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did,^(B)

⁸ His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?”^(A) And they hated him all the more^(B) because of his dream and what he had said.

⁹ Then he had another dream,^(C) and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars^(D) were bowing down to me.”^(E)

¹⁰ When he told his father as well as his brothers,^(F) his father rebuked^(G) him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?”^{(H) 11} His brothers were jealous of him,^(I) but his father kept the matter in mind.^(J)

²⁷ But Laban said to him, “If I have found favor in your eyes,^(A) please stay. I have learned by divination^(B) that the Lord has blessed me because of you.”^(C)
