¹⁹ So^[a] when the time came for Merab,^(A) Saul’s daughter, to be given to David, she was given in marriage to Adriel of Meholah.^(B)

⁸ But the king took Armoni and Mephibosheth, the two sons of Aiah’s daughter Rizpah,^(A) whom she had borne to Saul, together with the five sons of Saul’s daughter Merab,^[a] whom she had borne to Adriel son of Barzillai the Meholathite.^(B)

²² When the three hundred trumpets sounded,^(A) the Lord caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other^(B) with their swords.^(C) The army fled to Beth Shittah toward Zererah as far as the border of Abel Meholah^(D) near Tabbath.
