⁵⁴ David took the Philistine’s head and brought it to Jerusalem; he put the Philistine’s weapons in his own tent.

⁷ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off^(A) before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial^(B) to the people of Israel forever.”

⁸ So the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them. They took twelve stones^(C) from the middle of the Jordan,^(D) according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, as the Lord had told Joshua;^(E) and they carried them over with them to their camp, where they put them down.

³³ So Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omer of manna^(A) in it. Then place it before the Lord to be kept for the generations to come.”

⁹ The priest replied, “The sword^(A) of Goliath^(B) the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah,^(C) is here; it is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want it, take it; there is no sword here but that one.”

David said, “There is none like it; give it to me.”
