⁵² Now the men of Israel and Judah arose and shouted, and pursued the Philistines as far as the entrance of ^[a]the valley and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell along the road to ^(A)Shaaraim, even as far as Gath and Ekron.

¹¹ And the border went out to the side of ^(A)Ekron northward. Then the border went around to Shicron, passed along to Mount Baalah, and extended to Jabneel; and the border ended at the sea.

¹⁰ He arose and attacked the Philistines until his hand was ^(A)weary, and his hand stuck to the sword. The Lord brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to ^(B)plunder.

²¹ Moreover the Hebrews who were with the Philistines before that time, who went up with them into the camp from the surrounding country, they also joined the Israelites who were with Saul and Jonathan. ²² Likewise all the men of Israel who ^(A)had hidden in the mountains of Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, they also followed hard after them in the battle.

²³ And the men of Israel gathered together from ^(A)Naphtali, Asher, and all Manasseh, and pursued the Midianites.

⁴⁵ Ekron, with its towns and villages; ⁴⁶ from Ekron to the sea, all that lay near ^(A)Ashdod, with their villages;

³³ In the lowland: ^(A)Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah, ³⁴ Zanoah, En Gannim, Tappuah, Enam, ³⁵ Jarmuth, ^(B)Adullam, Socoh, Azekah, ³⁶ Sharaim, Adithaim, Gederah, and Gederothaim: fourteen cities with their villages;
