³⁷ And David said, ^(A)“The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, ^(B)and the Lord be with you!”

¹⁷ But ^(A)the Lord stood by me and ^(B)strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and ^(C)all the Gentiles might hear it. So ^(D)I was rescued ^(E)from the lion's mouth. ¹⁸ The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. ^(F)To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁶ gold, silver, bronze, and iron. Arise and work! ^(A)The Lord be with you!”

¹¹ “Now, my son, ^(A)the Lord be with you, so that you may succeed in building the house of the Lord your God, as he has spoken concerning you.

¹³ But should it please my father to do you harm, ^(A)the Lord do so to Jonathan and more also if I do not disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. ^(B)May the Lord be with you, as he has been with my father.

⁹ Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us ^(A)rely not on ourselves ^(B)but on God ^(C)who raises the dead. ^10 (D)He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. ^(E)On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.

^12 (A)Be of good courage, and ^(B)let us be courageous for our people, and for the cities of our God, and ^(C)may the Lord do what seems good to him.”
