⁶ When they came, he looked on ^(A)Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord's anointed is before him.”

¹³ The three oldest sons of Jesse had followed Saul to the battle. And ^(A)the names of his three sons who went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next to him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.

^13 (A)Jesse fathered Eliab his firstborn, Abinadab the second, ^(B)Shimea the third,

²² And David left the ^(A)things in charge of the keeper of the ^(B)baggage and ran to the ranks and went and greeted his brothers.
