Your adversary, ^(C)the devil, prowls around like a roaring ^(D)lion, seeking someone to devour. ^9 [a](E)So resist him, ^(F)firm in your faith, knowing that ^(G)the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your ^[b]brothers and sisters who are in the world. ¹⁰ After you have suffered ^(H)for a little while, the ^(I)God of all grace, who ^(J)called you to His ^(K)eternal glory in Christ, will Himself ^(L)perfect, ^(M)confirm, strengthen, and establish you. ^11 (N)To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.

^7 (A)Submit therefore to God. But ^[a](B)resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ^8 (C)Come close to God and He will come close to you. ^(D)Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and ^(E)purify your hearts, you ^(F)[b]double-minded.
