7 Throw all your care upon him, because he cares about you.
Standing firm by God’s power
8 Stay in control of yourselves; stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is stalking around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, staying resolute in your faith, and knowing that other family members in the rest of the world are facing identical sufferings.

7 Throw all your anxiety onto him, because he cares about you. 8 Be clearheaded. Keep alert. Your accuser, the devil, is on the prowl like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith. Do so in the knowledge that your fellow believers are enduring the same suffering throughout the world.
