1 Peter 4:3-11
New American Standard Bible
3 For (A)the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, [a](B)having pursued a course of indecent behavior, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and wanton idolatries. 4 In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them in the same excesses of (C)[b]debauchery, and they (D)slander you; 5 but they will give an account to Him who is ready to judge (E)the living and the dead. 6 For (F)the gospel has for this purpose been [c]preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as people, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God.
7 (G)The end of all things [d]is near; therefore, (H)be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of [e]prayer. 8 Above all, (I)keep fervent in your love for one another, because (J)love covers a multitude of sins. 9 (K)Be hospitable to one another without (L)complaint. 10 (M)As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good (N)stewards of the [f]multifaceted grace of God. 11 (O)Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking (P)actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving [g](Q)by the strength which God supplies; so that (R)in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, (S)to whom belongs the glory and [h]dominion forever and ever. Amen.
