^14 (A)If you are insulted ^(B)for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory^[a] and of God rests upon you.

^14 (A)But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. ^(B)Have no fear of them, ^(C)nor be troubled,

²² “Blessed are you when ^(A)people hate you and when they ^(B)exclude you and revile you and ^(C)spurn your name as evil, ^(D)on account of the Son of Man!

^12 (A)Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive ^(B)the crown of life, ^(C)which God has promised to those who love him.

^11 (A)“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely ^(B)on my account.

^16 (A)having a good conscience, so that, ^(B)when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

¹⁹ For this is a gracious thing, when, ^(A)mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. ²⁰ For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But ^(B)if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.

^10 (A)For the sake of Christ, then, ^(B)I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For ^(C)when I am weak, then I am strong.
