⁴ Rather, it should be that of your inner self,^(A) the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.^{(B) 5} For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God^(C) used to adorn themselves.^(D) They submitted themselves to their own husbands,

²² But the fruit^(A) of the Spirit is love,^(B) joy, peace,^(C) forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness and self-control.^(D) Against such things there is no law.^(E)
