22 Since you have (A)in obedience to the truth (B)purified your souls for a [a](C)sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from [b]the heart, 23 for you have been (D)born again (E)not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring (F)word of God. 24 For,

(G)All flesh is like grass,
And all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
And the flower falls off,
25 (H)But the word of the Lord endures forever.”

And this is (I)the word which was [c]preached to you.

As Newborn Babes

Therefore, (J)putting aside all [d]malice and all deceit and [e]hypocrisy and [f]envy and all [g](K)slander, (L)like newborn babies, long for the [h](M)pure [i]milk of the word, so that by it you may (N)grow [j]in respect to salvation, if you have (O)tasted [k](P)the kindness of the Lord.
